I was skeptical and these seemed a bit weird, but I was waking up with such dry mouth from open-mouthed breathing, and I was worrying how it would affect my gums and teeth. These have completely resolved this issue with no bothersome effects! Here’s the trick though… they covered too much of my skin area, so I Cut each individual one into four pieces and just put a small piece right in the middle of my lips to keep the mouth closed. I can still breathe very easily through the sides of mouth and can’t even talk pretty clearly, so I’m not rendered mute when I went to bed either, which was a bonus for communicating with hubby if needed. But mouth was still closed enough to where there was no dry mouth in the morning. makes the box of strips last much longer also! And the tiny little piece held just fine! All you need is a tiny bit of adhesion in each lip to do the trick and it holds all night. Glad I took the risk.It is a good shape and sticks well. But slightly larger all the way around would be even better. I like the center hole.I found for the first few nights that I was very aware of my mouth is closed and took a little longer to settle, but within a few nights, it didn't even bother me. I am impressed.Had heard James Nestor discussing his recent book ‘Breath’ on the Joe Rogan Podcast. He was explaining to Joe the importance and benefits of breathing through the nose and at one point he mentioned that he uses those Strips to aid in nose breathing while asleep.In terms of quality and application, these strips hold their own. However, I will say it took me several attests to apply and hold without coming undone for the duration of the night. I found that pulling my lips in like I was playing the Trumpet created better adhesion and was less likely to be affected by moisture which will break the bond.I cannot speak for other brands but these STAY on my mouth the whole night. I will be buying this brand in perpetuity.** the've improved the sticker backing from paper to plastic. It made a lot easier to remove it. For those who sleep with there mouth open and suffer interupted sleep because of dry mouth in the night, I say try this!It also work non-invasively while sleeping with a CPAP.These actually helped the blowing of air out my husbands mouth when using the CPAP machine.I loved these mouth strips when purchased in January & May. They were made from a medipore tape that was gentle on my skin. I reordered & received the same box but the strips are made from a transpore tape. It is harsh on my skin & I am quite disappointed in the product.They don’t hurt taking it off in the morning and stays on all night. Perfect mouth tape. I have it on a subscription because I love it so much.
